Beyond Aesthetics: Lina Condes' Psychological Approach to Art at art Miami 2023

Lina Condes is a contemporary American - Ukrainian artist known for her stick figure
sculptures, earned her MFA in Fine Arts, Interior and Furniture Design from Kiev University of Technology and Design. Born in the countryside of Cherkassy City, she grew up in a family of a professor of physics and math, which is what drew her understanding of an industrial material for her future sculptures from an early age. Lina’s work is conceptually positioned at a heavy- light, high-low axis. The sculptures are created using common industrial stainless steel, fiberglass wood and stone, through which she seeks to authentically represent the emotional and mental lives of modern people. Her sculptures are strongly inspired by the Italian Renaissance. In her anatomic studies, Lina investigates the lineage of traditional figurative sculpture by masters such as Giorgio Vasari and Leonardo Da Vinci and updates it using contemporary technologies. Condes focuses on ‘mental states’, different emotions and psychological conditions that she attempts to represent by blending materials, shape and color. In a way, she works with metal and wood as if they were bronze and marble.
The new project titled "Flow" was exhibited across four galleries during Art Miami week. Ca'do'ro Gallery/NYC showcased Lina Condes's latest sculpture "Dream" at the Art Miami pavilion. The sculpture depicted an American football player running and smashing through a wall, carrying a box symbolizing a dream.

Lina Condes, a Ukrainian-American artist, was born on November 3, 1988, in the city of Cherkasy, Ukraine. Renowned for her distinctive stick figure sculptures, Condes endeavors
to capture the genuine essence of the emotional and mental experiences of contemporary individuals. Her artistic approach revolves around exploring various "mental states," encompassing a range of emotions and psychological conditions, employing a harmonious combination of materials, shapes, and colors.

Новий проект під назвою «Flow» був представлений у чотирьох галереях під час Art Miami week. Галерея Ca'do'ro / NYC представила останню скульптуру Ліни Кондес під назвою «Dream» на павільйоні Art Miami. Скульптура зображала американського футболіста, який біжить та проривається через стіну, несучи в руках коробку, що символізує мрію.
Крім того, галерея Avant / Miami представила нову бронзову скульптуру з колекції «Мислитель» під назвою «Майстер», інспіровану відомою скульптурою Огюста Родена. Ця скульптура зображувала задумливу фігуру, яка сидить на скелі із вглибленою думкою, підтримуючи голову однією рукою. Оригінальна скульптура "Мислитель" з першої колекції Кондес здобула визнання в колекції Карла Айкана на Indian Creek та як монументальні інсталяції в Мені.

Французька галерея «Kavachnina» представила скульптури «Viator» та «Monologue», а Espinasse31 / Madrid показала кілька спортивних скульптур. Зазначено, що Кондес отримала визнання за її скульптури з гольфу та тенісу, оскільки ці види спорту поширені у сучасному світі.
Ліна Кондес, українсько-американська художниця, народилася 3 листопада 1988 року в місті Черкаси, Україна. Відома своїми характерними скульптурами фігурок-паличок, Кондес намагається передати справжню сутність емоційних та ментальних переживань сучасних особистостей. Її художній підхід обертається навколо дослідження різних «психологічних станів», що об'єднує в собі широку гаму емоцій та психологічних умов, використовуючи гармонійне поєднання матеріалів, форм та кольорів.»
